WATCH: Savannah James advises LeBron James not to call her wife as she is not fan of the term ‘wifey’

Since high school, Savannah James, LeBron James' wife, has supported him. LeBron "Bronny" James Jr., Bryce Maximus, and Zhuri Nova are the couple's three children together. They were married in 2013 and are both from Akron, Ohio. 

LeBron James and his spouse, Savannah, have a charming love tale that started when they were teenagers attending Akron, Ohio's St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. As they overcame the difficulties of early adulthood together, they became closer. Their relationship remained strong even after LeBron became a household name in basketball. On New Year's Eve 2012, he proposed to Savannah with an exquisite pear-shaped diamond ring. 

On September 14, 2013, they were married in a grand wedding ceremony in San Diego, California, which was attended by sports and celebrities. In addition to being romantic partners, Savannah and LeBron are business partners, with Savannah managing their joint companies and providing a great deal of support for LeBron's profession. Their love story evidences their long friendship off the basketball floor.

During the recent podcast Savannah James, wife of LeBron James has shared personal details about her life with the public through her podcast, Everybody's Crazy.  Savannah disclosed that she dislikes the term "wifey" and even advised LeBron James not to present her as his wife prior to their marriage.

According to Vibe, in a podcast, Savannah James said according to Vibe, “I hate, loathe the term wifey. I had to politely tell my husband back in the day. You think you know, but you have no idea.” Calling Savannah "wifey" is still unacceptable, even if she no longer objects to James addressing her as his wife. Though to each their own, I don't think it's insulting.

Meanwhile, LeBron James won the gold medal with the USA as they defeated France in the Paris Olympics 2024. During the final match, LeBron James was the MVP of the match.  He will be back with the Los Angeles Lakers for the upcoming NBA season.
