Fans witnessed a touching moment before the New York Liberty vs. Minnesota Lynx game began with Napheesa Collier and her daughter Mila sharing a special moment. Fans found great resonance in the heartwarming moment that was photographed courtside, highlighting the mother-daughter bond. Collier stated in an interview from the previous year that her daughter, Mila, provides her with happiness and purpose, particularly when she engages with her teammates.

"It's awesome to see her pre-game interacting with my teammates. That's been so fun for me to see the way they love her and the way she loves them back. She's growing up being supported by 12 really strong women and 144 collectively in the W," Napheesa Collier said.

This 2024 season has also been amazing for Napheesa Collier, who was selected to the First Team All-WNBA on Wednesday for the second time in a row. She now joins Maya Moore, Lindsay Whalen, and Katie Smith as the only Lynx player to have received this accolade at least twice. Collier has led the Lynx to an outstanding season and has been named a four-time All-Star.

New York Liberty won Game 3 against Minnesota Lynx

She won the Western Conference Player of the Month award in August. They advanced to the Finals after beating the Connecticut Sun and Phoenix Mercury, guaranteeing a thrilling season ends. Collier, who balances the obligations of being a mother and a professional athlete, is reminded of what matters most on and off the court by moments like those spent with Mila. The Lynx lost to the Liberty 80-77 on a last-second basket by Sabrina Ionescu Wednesday night in Game 3 of the Finals, blowing a 15-point lead and needing two consecutive wins to capture a record sixth WNBA championship.

During the first two games of the best-of-five series, Minnesota has only had a three-minute lead against New York. In front of 19,521 fans, the Minnesota Lynx failed to make a comeback in the game in front of their home fans.
