Recently a new song from superstar Mahesh Babu’s film Guntur Kaaram, Kurchi Madathapetti was played during an NBA game halftime. The song was composed by S Thaman which rocked the nation for its scintillating moves of the lead pair Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela.

A video was shared by the official social media handle of the film Guntur Kaaram to inform about the achievement. “Witness the #KurchiMadathaPetti mania spreading globally! Superstar @urstrulymahesh’s electrifying #KurchiMadathaPetti dance lit up the Toyota Center in Houston during the NBA game halftime (sic).”

Here is the video:

Notably, in the video Indian dancers can be seen performing during halftime as music was being played in the background. They were seen emulating the dance movies of Mahesh Babu and Sreeleela.

Guntur Kaaram failed to perform on the big screen!

Despite the global recognition of the song Kurchi Madathapetti the film Guntur Kaaram failed to perform as per the expectation on the big screen. Facing the mythological thriller film Hanu-Man on the big screen the film got bashed by it. However, after such a great global recognition Guntur might expect a surge in viewership on OTT platforms.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film, also starring Meenakshi Chaudhry and Prakash Raj, was deemed an average grosser by trade trackers. Notably, Mahesh Babu will next be seen in a film directed by Bahubali fame director SS Rajamouli.

Speaking recently about the film in Japan, Rajamouli disclosed that the casting process has not yet begun despite the completion of the script. Up to now, Mahesh Babu is the only confirmed participant in the initiative.
