In the Eastern Conference playoffs, Tyrese Haliburton emerged victorious over Jalen Brunson when the Indiana Pacers upset the New York Knicks in seven games. During "WWE SmackDown" on Friday night at Madison Square Garden, they carried on with their rivalry.

In a look reminiscent of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's trademark outfit, Haliburton wore a "Tyrese 3:17" shirt and denim shorts. He escorted United States Champion Logan Paul to the ring for a Money in the Bank qualifying match against LA Knight and Santos Escobar. Haliburton ran into Brunson on the sidelines as they were making their way to the ring. They had a titanic staredown.

As the two NBA All-Stars exchanged glances, a FOX commentator joked, "We might need to get some security out here." After Paul sent Escobar over the ropes, he became the first wrestler to be eliminated. Haliburton went to help Paul during the fight and went into the stands to get a pair of brass knuckles. Put on the brass knuckles, Haliburton pounded on the metal rungs that led to the ring.

In an attempt to stop Tyrese Haliburton from delivering Paul the brass knuckles, he leaped out of the crowd and confronted Haliburton on the side of the ring. The two had to be kept apart by referees. Paul was ultimately subdued by LA Knight.

Watch here the video:

Following the contest, Paul and Haliburton locked horns with LA Knight. Once more leaping to the rescue, Jalen Brunson entered the arena with a steel chair. Before Paul and Haliburton finally gave in and leaped out of the ring, they all gave each other chirps. Madison Square Garden patrons began yelling "MVP" for Brunson.

Jalen Brunson was named in All-NBA team

During Fanatics Fest NYC, Brunson was asked whether he thought there was a chance he and Tyrese Haliburton would enter a wrestling ring. He answered in the positive. “I’m never going to say never,” Brunson said. “I’m never going to say never. Maybe we can speak it into existence. Maybe we can.”

In addition to being a past NBA All-Star, Brunson was selected to the All-NBA Second Team in 2024. There is currently no information about Brunson's potential return to WWE programming.
