The Indiana Fever have had an amazing season, and their remarkable comeback has earned them a berth in the WNBA playoffs for 2024. Their standout rookie Caitlin Clark deserves a great deal of credit for her incredible effort. Going into the season, there were high expectations for Clark, and she lived up to the hype.

Throughout the WNBA season, she broke several records and created history numerous times. In her last appearance, she excelled as always. Fans have taken notice of one play in particular because it demonstrated her exceptional passing skills, which enabled her to create history during her rookie season.

If the season finale demonstrated anything, it's that Indiana Fever will be a formidable opponent in the postseason. In addition to having a strong performance in her little playing time, Clark helped the Fever win a tough game against the Washington Mystics.

The depth held its own even though none of the starters saw much action. If they get that help, they can go very far in the postseason. Since Washington Mystics don't usually play at Capital One Arena, the game was able to draw a record number of spectators. When Washington plays at the Entertainment & Sports Arena, 4,200 spectators can fit inside.

Caitlin Clark's lowest score since June 13

Halfway into the second half, Indiana (20-20) had already secured the No. 6 seed and benched their starters. While Kelsey Mitchell finished with four points and was substituted after just five minutes, rookie record-breaker Clark finished with eight points, eight assists, and five rebounds in 20 minutes. For Clark, it was the first game since June 13 that her score was kept below double digits.

With 1:13 remaining in the game, Wallace scored to make it 92-91 for Washington, but Indiana, who had largely backup players on the court, missed three jumpers in the last minute. Washington finished the fourth quarter just 3 of 15. Mitchell played in her 233rd regular-season game before participating in a playoff game, tying Jia Perkins, who did the same before entering a 2011 playoff game, even though the Fever had secured a postseason position two weeks earlier.
