After losing Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks lost another crucial player early in Sunday's postseason Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers.

Bobby Portis was dismissed during the first quarter after a fight with Pacers player Andrew Nembhard. With the Pacers up 17-16 late in the first quarter, Portis and Nembhard collided on the baseline following a deadball whistle.

Bucks player Khris Middleton got fouled while driving to the hoop, resulting in a missed shot. Portis stretched around Nembhard's right shoulder as they fought for a rebounding position. Nembhard shoved Portis away, and Portis retaliated by pushing Nembhard and slapping him on the back of the head. The two were separated before the situation became any more serious.

Officials looked at the incident on a replay monitor. They called a technical foul on Nembhard and two on Portis, which resulted in his expulsion. Officials noted two Portis incidents for the separate technical fouls, including a "push in the chest" and a "slap with contact to Nembhard's head."

Milwaukee Bucks got a big set back

The loss of Portis dealt a big blow to a Bucks club that began the game behind 2-1 in the series and had both of its All-Stars sidelined. Giannis Antetokounmpo missed his sixth consecutive game with a calf tightness and is yet to make his postseason debut. Lillard was ruled out early Sunday due to an Achilles injury suffered in Game 3.

Portis was a nominee for the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award before moving into the starting lineup after Antetokounmpo was injured with three games remaining in the regular season. His presence in the lineup has been crucial for Milwaukee Bucks. Portis averaged 15.3 points and 13.3 rebounds in his previous three postseason games versus the Pacers. The officials issued five technical fouls in the first 6:59 of the game.
