Brooklyn Nets players eventually joined in, swarming the fan who was jeering Ben Simmons. Other fans recorded the confrontation, while the staff stepped in. The fan eventually was removed. In sports, abuse is a regular occurrence. Fans frequently use loud jeering and booing to try to get inside the brains of rival players. If they do poorly enough, the home team may occasionally receive the same treatment.

Sometimes, though, a fan has gone too far, and players react. Security was fortunately present to stop things from getting worse. Ben Simmons may have performed worse against the Magic due to the strain of performing in front of an unfriendly audience. He made two of his five shots in his roughly twenty-four minutes of activity.

Brooklyn Nets took control of the game

In addition, he scored seven points overall by making three of four free throws. In addition, he had three assists, one rebound, one block, and six rebounds. He turned the ball over four times as well. He did not score in double figures, making him the first Nets starter to do so. Simmons played a quiet game, which could have contributed to his team losing by 15 points.

With 29 points Franz Wagner led all scorers and was difficult for Brooklyn to control. The only Magic player to score more than 20 points was  Moritz Wagner had the second-highest score of 18. Paolo Banchero contributed fifteen, and Anthony Black, Jalen Suggs, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope each scored ten. Ben Simmons and the Nets have a 0–2 record after this loss. They will have another opportunity to get revenge on Orlando Magic on November 29.
