Kobe Bryant is no longer with us, but his legacy in basketball lives on. If he were still living today, he would be 46 and regarded as one of the best NBA players of all time. Kobe Bryant won five NBA championships over 20 years and played with unrivaled ferocity. However, debates over whether he is the greatest of all time (GOAT) have waned over the years.

Another Los Angeles Lakers veteran, Magic Johnson, feels Kobe deserves to be mentioned among the greatest of all time. Magic recently spoke with NH Experience TV about why Kobe should be regarded as one of the best. He clarified that Kobe was a dangerous force on the field because of his scoring prowess and mindset, which were comparable to those of Michael Jordan.

Magic Johnson brought up the fact that Kobe approached every game with the possibility that it may be his last, much like Jordan did. He was almost unstoppable because of his "assassin" attitude. Kobe's five titles and style of play are what Magic believes most scream about how terrific he is. Not only did he win championships, but he also relentlessly dominated the league.

Magic Johnson bon with Kobe Bryant is significant

Magic Johnson has seen a lot of NBA greats, so his endorsement of Kobe is significant. He was impressed by Kobe's diligent efforts to earn each of his five titles rather than merely coasting to success. Kobe's distinct work ethic solidifies his status as the greatest player of all time. Kobe's legacy is still being acknowledged, even outside of sports. The Los Angeles Dodgers recently paid tribute to him with a unique drone display. The presentation showed Kobe in his iconic statue position, as well as another shot of him shooting a basketball while wearing his No. 8 jerseys.

It was a fitting homage to a legend Kobe Bryant who was equally passionate about the Dodgers and the Lakers. Those who saw him perform and those who are still motivated by his tale remember him, even though he is no longer with us.
