During their speech at the Democratic National Convention, Magic Johnson showered former First Lady Michelle Obama and former President Barack Obama with adoration. Her impassioned speech on the subject of hope's revival, according to the BBC, enthralled the crowd. Johnson approved presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who was also backed by the Obamas.

The legendary Los Angeles Lakers player praised Obama's speech as the best in history on X. "Former President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama gave the best political speeches in the history of our country. The powerful couple talked about working-class families, family values, and moving the country forward - together. They were powerful, intelligent, compassionate, and sealed with integrity," as per Sportskeed posted on X.

Obama also praised Democratic vice presidential contender Tim Walz, saying that he was the type of man who belonged in politics. There have been major headlines about the Democratic major Convention. A crowded United Center in Chicago had earlier shown its support for Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr with a standing ovation.

In 2017, Magic Johnson has serious concerns about the previous president, Donald Trump. The 12-time NBA All-Star was outspoken in his opposition to Trump's executive ban on immigration. He made his objection public, claiming that the previous President could not just "be a dictator". Per TMZ, he said.

Lebron James and Stephen Curry joined the campaigned

Following the incident, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers were among the NBA players who also quit staying at Trump SoHo, including Johnson. The five-time NBA champion has been a steadfast Joe Biden supporter, frequently using X as a platform to do so. He tweeted his gratitude to Biden earlier this month. Before Biden stepped down, Newsweek claims that athletes like Lebron James and Steph Curry aggressively campaigned for the 81-year-old.
