On Sunday, Indiana Pacers beat New York Knicks 130-109, with Tyrese Haliburton scoring 26 points to lead the Pacers to their first trip to the Eastern Conference finals in ten years. Indiana Pacers shot 76.3% in the first half, making 29 of their 38 attempts, the greatest percentage in the postseason since the NBA started recording in-depth play-by-play for all four quarters in 1997. By then, they had a 70-55 lead and were never able to catch up to the Knicks in the second half.

Jalen Brunson exited in the second half with a fractured left hand, the latest blow to a Knicks squad devastated by them. OG Anunoby returned to the game on Sunday after missing the previous four with a strained left hamstring, but he was not moving properly and was removed after only five minutes. Pascal Siakam and Andrew Nembhard each had 20 points, and Aaron Nesmith went 8 for 8 en-route to 19 for the Pacers.

Indiana Pacers took control of the game

New York Knicks, who were aiming to make it to the conference finals for the first time since 2000, were led by Donte DiVincenzo, who finished with 39 points and nine 3-pointers. However, they were unable to overcome the losses of Bojan Bogdanovic, Mitchell Robinson, Julius Randle, and Anunoby before losing Brunson.

After scoring 40 points or more five times this playoffs, Brunson ended with 17 points and nine assists on 6 for 17 shots. After sitting out, Alec Burks scored 26 points. The Knicks reduced the gap to 70-55 at halftime, then scored the opening seven points of the second half as part of a 12-3 run that brought the score to 73-67. But, with Indiana Pacers ahead by seven, the Knicks committed three consecutive turnovers, allowing Indiana to extend their lead to 84-70.
