LeBron James talks about his future following LA Lakers' exit from NBA Playoffs 2024

LeBron James has opened up about his future in the NBA. The star player took to X and confirmed his thought process following the loss of the Lakers. During the post-match conference, James was asked about his future in the league. The Lakers player claimed that he was not sure about it either. After the event, LeBron posted a tweet and let out his opinion about his future.

The experienced player has been the soul of the LA Lakers over the years and just completed his 21st season in the league. However, the Lakers did not have the best of the seasons as they lost the NBA Playoffs to the Denver Nuggets by a huge margin. Out of the 5 bouts, the Lakers could not win any of them. It was a rather forgettable season for the LA Lakers.

Even in the group stage, they did not seem as competitive as the world knows them to be. The Playoffs were just a mirror image of their performances in the season till that point. LeBorn was disappointed with the loss of the Lakers. He took to Twitter (X) and addressed the reports that touched upon his future. LeBron confirmed that he is not sure about his future yet.

The Lakers star added that his preference currently is about spending some time with friends and family members. "I’ve seen and heard a lot of reports about my future. I said it last night and I’ll say it again. I do not know yet as I’m only thinking about spending time with my family & friends! While some feel that LeBron has a good 2-3 seasons still left in him, others feel that the time for retirement has come for the experienced player. He however proved his worth in the NBA 2023/24 by performing well for the LA Lakers. James had an average of 25.7 points and claimed 8.3 assists, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 54 percent from the field and 41 percent from deep in the season.
