Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry help Golden State Warriors to continue their winning streak by six games

On Thursday night Golden State Warriors defeated Houston Rockets to stretch their winning streak by six games. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry both scored 29 points each as they lead Golden State Warriors to 133-110 over Houston Rockets.

On Thursday night Golden State Warriors defeated Houston Rockets to stretch their winning streak by six games. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry both scored 29 points each as they led the Golden State Warriors to 133-110 over the Houston Rockets. Klay Thompson took 11 shots out of 15 attempts from beyond the arc. Stephen Curry scored 29 points and Trayce Jackson Davis got 20 points.

“We know we can score against most teams but defense has been our calling card,” Curry said according to AP News.

Golden State Warriors, who are now ranked tenth in the Western Conference, never trailed and established a 15-point advantage at halftime thanks to 21 points from Klay Thompson. He made seven three-pointers, five of which came in the first half.

“Man, he was smoking and that was fun to watch,” coach Steve Kerr said. “He was feeling it right from the beginning”

Alperen Sengun will not return from his injury this season

For Houston Rockets Jabari Smith Jr. scored 24 points, while off the bench Cam Whitmore scored 17 points and Jalen Green had 13 points and seven assists as the Rockets failed to capitalise on 21 points as Golden State Warriors took the lead.

Johnathan Kuminga of Golden State Warriors was missing his fifth match due to a knee injury. Meanwhile, head coach Steve Kerr stated that he may return by Friday night. Further, Andrew Wiggins's ankle was injured and didn’t return to the game. While Kerr gave an update on his injury as it is not serious. 

Alperen Sengun of the Houston Rockets who was injured due to a sprain in the right ankle spoke for the first time with reporters. He stated he is doing well but is not sure about his return in the ongoing season. 

The next match for both teams will be held on Friday night as Golden State Warriors will face the Dallas Mavericks while Houston Rockets will take on the Miami Heat.
