As a player development coach, Kemba Walker is returning to the Charlotte Hornets. Walker is Charlotte's all-time best NBA scorer with 12,009 points in his career. On Tuesday, he made his retirement known. Kemba Walker is the leader of the Hornets in field goals, 3-pointers, free throws, and minutes played.

He is also a four-time NBA All-Star and a member of the third team of the 2018–19 All-NBA squad. He leads the group in steals and assists. After a 12-year NBA career, Walker led AS Monaco to the French League title this year.  Kemba Walker, who spent most of his 12-year NBA career with the Hornets, played in Charlotte from 2011 to 2019. He will now seek to lead the team as it enters a new chapter under Lee, who was appointed in May.

Unfortunately for Walker, injuries wrecked his career and most certainly contributed to his earlier-than-intended retirement. While he would have loved to continue playing in the NBA, he now has the opportunity to assist Charlotte's club to succeed.
