Drake and Kendrick Lamar's feud has long since subsided, but it still persists. When Toronto played the Western Conference team at home on Saturday night, Sacramento Kings star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan felt it with Champagne Papi there. TSN Sports' Kayla Gray reports that during the fourth quarter of the game, Champagne Papi appeared on the network and declared, "If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I'll pull that thing down myself."

During the Sacramento game's halftime, the Raptors retired Vince Carter's No. 15 jersey, which is why Drake made the banner allusion. Drake seems to have severed his friendship with DeRozan after the latter made an appearance in K-Dot's "Not Like Us" music video.

DeRozan joked, "Well he's going to have a long way to climb to take it down," in response to a question on Drake's remark following the game, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports. By defeating Sacramento 131–128 in overtime, the Raptors avoided ruining Carter's memorable evening. With 31 points, RJ Barrett led Toronto, followed by Gradey Dick and Ochai Agbaji, who each scored 22 points.
