Football superstar Lionel Messi has named basketball legend Michael Jordan as one of the greatest legendary athletes in the world and would like to take a picture with him. He expressed this on a recent podcast with Clank! hosted by Argentine journalist Juan Pablo Varsky.
In addition to this, the Argentine legend declared Michael Jordan to be the best of all time, bringing an end to the continuing argument and comparisons between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Undoubtedly, his incredible career has had a long-term impact on and off the court. As a result, Messi's request for a photo with Jordan came as no surprise.
As per Pink Villa, "Michael Jordan is the greatest ever. After watching his series 'The Last Dance', it's impressive. That brought me much closer to getting to know him. It's a shame I couldn't have experienced that era live because I would have loved to."
He further added, "I don't know much about basketball either, but he was something different. I have a great admiration for him. So many people have asked me for photos, why couldn't I ask him for a photo? It would be really nice."

Both players have reached legendary in their sports
Jordan is perhaps one of sports history's best athletes. He led the Chicago Bulls dynasty throughout the 1990s and won six NBA titles. Among others, he was named to 14 NBA All-Star games and won five NBA MVPs.
He won the 1992 FIBA AmeriCup and two Olympic gold medals for the United States national basketball team (in Los Angeles in 1984 and Barcelona in 1992). He left an athletic legacy, along with the 'Jordan' brand developed by Nike in his honour. Over time, the renowned "Air Jordan" sneakers have grown in popularity around the world.
Both Lionel Messi and Michael Jordan have reached legendary status in their areas, and Messi's acknowledgement of Jordan's greatness strengthens the idea that real achievement in sports transcends specific disciplines.
