Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James' elder son Bronny James has been in the limelight since he announced joining the 2024 NBA Draft even though get could still return to college as he has eligibility to join the NCAA transfer portal.

Meanwhile, there are many mixed responses to the choice of Bronny James some believe that his disappointing freshman season at the University of Southern California demonstrates how he still has to improve his game before entering the professional ranks. Two-time NBA All-Star Baron Davis believes declaring for the draft is the best option for Bronny James.

According to Lakers Daily, “I think for him to declare for the draft will be good because he may be a better pro than he is a college player,” Davis told TMZ Sports.

When asked why he believes such is the case, the retired point guard stated that the change in atmosphere may benefit the child.

As per Lakers Daily, “The program is a lot different,” Davis stated regarding the NBA. “It’s more free-flowing. You’re not coached every moment. You’re not playing zone all the time.”

Many people are waiting to see if he finally partners up with his father

While Baron Davis continued to shower praise on Bronny James portraying him as an athletic and intelligent point guard. However Former NBA All-Star player Metta Sandiford-Artest stated a few weeks ago that Bronny James can be the league’s starting point guard.

Skip Bayless had the same feelings about the younger James. The media personality believes the former Trojan is ready for the NBA due to his alleged NBA-level defence, high IQ, and potential as a consistent spot-up shooter.

It remains to be seen how things turn out for the younger James this summer. Many people are undoubtedly waiting to see if he finally partners up with his father LeBron James, which is a possibility that the future Hall of Famer considers. 

During his rookie season, Bronny James has played 25 games and has averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while his shooting from the field is 36.6% and shooting from beyond the arc is 26.7%.
