On Saturday Los Angeles Lakers continued their winning streak as they defeated Cleveland Cavaliers 116-97. Los Angeles Lakers won their fourth straight game as LeBron James scored 24 points and D’Angelo Russell got 28 points. After this win, Los Angeles Lakers move to eighth position in the Western Conference.

Anthony Davis contributed 22 points and 13 rebounds in the Lakers ninth victory in ten games. Cleveland's Darius Garland scored 26 points, while Caris LeVert added 21 off the bench. The Cavaliers remained third in the East, but have lost two consecutive games and three of their past four. Russell made six three-pointers, five of which came in the first half when his 23 points helped the Lakers grab a nine-point lead.

In the second quarter Los Angeles Lakers charged to 16-point lead as they scored 24-4 before halftime Cleveland Cavaliers were 65-56. LeBron James improved to 18-4 versus his previous team, where he spent 11 seasons in two stints. He had two alley-oop dunks against the club he led to their only NBA title in 2016. In the third quarter, Davis scored 11 points while the Cleveland Cavaliers were leading 71-67 before the Los Angeles Lakers took control of the game.

Cleveland Cavaliers gave tough fight

Russell made six three-pointers, five of which came in the first half when his 23 points helped the Lakers grab a nine-point lead. Garland, who equaled a career-high with five steals, hit a pair of 3-pointers as the Cavaliers opened the second half with an 11-2 run to level the game at 67. Cleveland's Darius Garland scored 26 points, while Caris LeVert added 21 off the bench. The Cavaliers remained third in the Eastern Conference, but have lost two consecutive games and three of their past four.

Cleveland Cavaliers will face the LA Clippers on Sunday while the Los Angeles Lakers will take on Minnesota Timberwolves.
