Cooper Flagg should be added to team USA for Paris Olympics, suggests Austin Rivers

Team USA basketball for the 2024 Olympics has put together an intense team that includes LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, and Anthony Davis. 

The squad hopes to restore its supremacy following a dismal showing at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. The lineup, which now includes Kawhi Leonard, is made up of veteran players with previous international tournament experience.

Austin Rivers, a former NBA player and current ESPN pundit, has recommended an unexpected addition to Team USA's men's basketball team for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Rivers argued for the inclusion of Duke-bound forward Cooper Flagg, a standout prospect from the 2024 high school class. In an interview with NBA Today, Rivers emphasized the crucial experience that such an opportunity may bring for young, emerging players like Flagg.

During the conversation, Rivers stated, "Grab Cooper Flagg; in fact, make him the 12th man. The experience it would provide him. You're talking about developing guys for the future and what that experience can accomplish for these young promising players, especially in a draft class with limited star potential. 

According to PINKVILLA Austin Rivers has stated, “Throw the biggest star in there, throw Cooper Flagg in there, it makes sense. Grant Hill is a Dukie, get it done."

In that game, Cooper Flagg scored 19 points and 11 rebounds which showed people how good he is. During the FIBA U-17 Basketball World Cup, Cooper Flagg won the Gatorade Player of the Year award. Since then, he has been playing some amazing basketball over some time. He now plays at college level for Duke University which is showing his huge talent in the world of college basketball.
