A Dream run continues for NC State!

With this victory, NC State makes it to the final four of the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament. This is the first NC team that made it there after four decades making this moment of joy for its fans. Notably, in 1983 Jim Valvano’s team not only made it to final four but also won the national title and finished their campaign with upsets over Houston and Phi Salma Jama.

After the game, Burns spoke about the reasons behind his on-court antics. He termed the environment in which he grew up as the major reason. He said, "I was raised in a happy environment. I try to take that with me wherever I go. I’ll say like I’ve been saying the whole tournament.”

“When I stop having fun with basketball, I’ll stop playing. There’s just been a total switch in our commitment. Nobody’s being late to things. Nobody’s being a problem on the court. Everybody’s come together.”
