Due to swelling in his left knee, Bronny James was reportedly unable to participate in Sunday's Los Angeles Lakers California Classic summer league game. The youngster was pulled out of action on Sunday as a precaution. He made his club debut on Saturday during their defeat to the Sacramento Kings at the Chase Centre in San Francisco.

He is anticipated to participate in their tournament-ending matchup with the Miami Heat on Wednesday. In Los Angeles Lakers' 108-94 loss to the Kings on Saturday, James played 21 minutes. He finished the game with four points and two rebounds while shooting only two out of nine from the field and zero out of three from beyond the arc.

The Lakers picked Bronny James with the No. 55 overall choice in the NBA Draft last month following a single season at USC, when he averaged 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds while playing primarily off the bench. James, LeBron James' eldest son, then signed a four-year contract worth $7.9 million with the organization. When they play together this fall, they will be the first father-son tandem in league history. LeBron is now working with Team USA in Las Vegas ahead of the Paris Olympics.

On Sunday afternoon, the Warriors trounced the Lakers with ease. Ethan Thompson scored 22 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to help them win 92-68 with ease. Dalton Knecht, despite shooting only 3-for-13 from the field, leads the Lakers with 12 points. James and the Lakers will go to Las Vegas for further summer league games after their last game in San Francisco. They will play the first game of the tournament on July 12 at the Thomas & Mack Centre against the Houston Rockets.

In the first half of the game against Golden State Warriors, the son of Lakers superstar LeBron James sat in uniform at the end of the bench, his left leg wrapped in white. He was observed picking at it several times.
