Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese recently found herself at the centre of a social media storm after opting to skip the WNBA Orange Carpet event in Phoenix. The event, a highlight of the All-Star Game festivities, saw several star players, including Caitlin Clark, A'ja Wilson, Sabrina Ionescu, and Breanna Stewart, dazzling in stylish outfits as they arrived in style for pictures.

However, the notable absence of Reese, who is set to play in the All-Star Game on Saturday, left many fans puzzled and some even frustrated. Instead of attending the Orange Carpet event, Reese was seen courtside at the NBA Summer League game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Houston Rockets in Las Vegas.

This unexpected decision sparked a wave of criticism from fans who believed the rookie should have prioritized the All-Star event over the Summer League game. One particularly irate fan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their disappointment, writing, "Angel just pissed me off. Your first All-Star event as a rookie and you are still in Vegas at an FG summer league game?????? good fg night man."

Reese, however, was quick to respond with a clapback that garnered significant attention. "It's ok babe. I'm minding the business that PAYS me," she replied, emphasizing her focus on her career and personal choices.

Reese eyes big at WNBA All-Star game!

This isn't the first time Reese has chosen to attend an NBA Summer League game. She was also seen courtside for the LA Lakers' game against the Boston Celtics on July 15, accompanied by reigning NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown and former teammate Kysre Gondrezick.

Her repeated appearances at these games highlight her interest in the NBA and perhaps indicate potential networking or business opportunities that align with her career goals. As the WNBA All-Star Game approaches, the focus will shift back to the court, where Team USA, consisting of players selected for the Paris Olympics, will face off against Team WNBA, which features 12 All-Stars not part of the Summer Games roster.
