RB driver Yuki Tsunoda was phenomenal during the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola last weekend. He outplayed numerous drivers including the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell on multiple occasions. His amazing performance has helped him earn some deals from various teams including Aston Martin.

However, according to Tsunoda, he has ‘no strong’ feelings about leaving RB but he is open to discussing any upcoming deal. After the race at Imola Tsunoda spoke about the issue and said, “I mean to be honest, RB is performing so far very well, so obviously, there’s not much I would say strong feeling that I want to get out.”

“But see how it goes. Obviously at the same time, a lot of things going around, but I’ve been in the Red Bull family a long time, so I have quite a lot of loyalty and Honda helped me a lot to get here. I love this team, you know, the Italian culture, they’re all funny. But yeah, if I have to see options, still it’s welcome”, Tsunoda told Channel 4

“The car performance is very well”, says Yuki Tsunoda

One notable aspect of Tsunoda’s progress in the 2024 F1 season is his development of a calmer and more composed demeanour. Previously known for his fiery radio outbursts and aggressive driving style, Tsunoda has noticeably toned down these tendencies, even in the early races of 2024. He acknowledged that his "self-control" has significantly improved.

He said, “Yeah, for sure the car performance this year is very well, so that helped me to be able to feel more comfortable, feeling more confident, but also from myself, able to step up a little bit.”

“Especially self-control, to be honest. Normally, especially for example when I was stuck behind Williams, probably two years ago, I was pressing the radio and lost my control, but this year able to be consistent and stick to what I’m doing, so that helps for sure with my consistent performance.”
