One of the most boring Monaco Grand Prix races happened yesterday, with no real possibilities of overtaking in the narrow streets of Monte Carlo. But that is what makes the Monaco GP very special in Formula 1. Since 1929, Monaco has been an integral part of the racing world across many categories. The real thrill in Monaco is the qualifying session where drivers give their best in setting the fastest lap times. We are now heading to Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix in a few days time, and before that, let's analyse the Monaco race with the top 5 winners and losers.

1.McLaren

Winners of Monaco- McLaren

Everything went according to their plan, and they will be happy to win in Monaco after many years. This Monaco GP victory is very special for them as the McLaren team showed their real strength with an all-time lap record by Lando Norris. Red Bull’s strategy of staying longer on the track didn't work as the sheer pace of McLaren gave them no chance. Oscar Piastri gave his best to finish in P3. Overall, the championship leaders would be happy with the results.

2. Ferrari

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton did their best to bring maximum points to the team. Though Lewis started in P7, he quickly gained positions in the main race and finished in P5 behind Max Verstappen. Charles Leclerc won't be happy with a P2 finish, but it is what it is. Everything had to be done in qualifying to achieve the best results, and the Monegasque driver gave his best. Let’s hope Ferrari can carry on the momentum to Barcelona.

3. VCARB

Winners VCARB

Both Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson finished inside the points table, which is much needed for a mid-field team like VCARB. Isack Hadjar showed promise with his pace in both qualifying and the main race. The Aston Martin driver's retirement allowed them to gain one more place and with that, a few extra points, and finished the Monaco GP on high.

4. Williams Racing

Winners of 2025 F1 Monaco GP- Williams

The two Williams drivers, Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon, got the opportunity to enter the top 10, and they both utilised the chance and finished in points. The most important thing is the retirement of Fernando Alonso, which helped both the Williams drivers finish inside the top 10. James Vowels would be happy with the team's progress, and if they continue this progress, they could be one of the top 4 teams in 2 years.

5. Haas

Winners - Haas

Esteban Ocon deserved to be in the top 10, but the last few races haven't been great for him, as his teammate Oliver Bearman scored points consistently for the team. But in Monaco, the team worked hard to bring the best race setup. As we say, qualifying is key in Monaco; the French driver didn't make any mistakes and gave his best for the team. Even in the main race, he was very relaxed and calm, followed the team strategy, and finished inside the points table.

Losers of the 2025 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix

1. Red Bull

Losers- Red Bull

We can't call them losers, but for Verstappen, the 2025 Monaco GP is a losing ground. He started fourth and completed the race in fourth. Red Bull Racing lost in the qualifying session as they couldn't outpace McLaren and Ferrari. Compared with Vertsappen’s standards, finishing in fourth behind all his rivals means losing. But still, they get some valuable points from Monte Carlo.

2. Mercedes

Losers- Mercedes

The two Mercedes drivers, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, had a nightmare weekend in Monaco as both faced engine issues. This is one of the worst races for the silver arrows this year, and they need to recover immediately as we head to Barcelona in a short period. Overall, this is a race to forget for George and Kimi.

3. Sauber

Losers Sauber

Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto had no pace compared to their rivals, Haas and VCARB. All the drivers could do was wait for something to happen. But nothing happened, and they couldn't score any points for their team. They will now be focused on the Barcelona race, which is happening this weekend.

4. Alpine

Losers Alpine

The French team is facing their two consecutive race losses, as both Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto haven't been able to score points in this race. The Renault-powered car had no pace all weekend, and they need to turn the tide in the Spanish GP.

5. Aston Martin

Aston Martin- winners

What could have been the best race weekend for Fernando Alonso turned into the worst. The veteran F1 driver and two-time world champion hasn't scored any points this year. He is sitting alongside Doohan, Colapinto, and Bortoleto without any points. The Monaco GP gave him every chance, but bad luck followed him everywhere as he had car issues and had to retire.
