Lando Norris won the 2025 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix for the first time in his F1 career. The race was more strategic than actual racing, with all the teams sticking to their plans and finishing the race without losing position. Charles Leclerc and Piastri are the other podium winners. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen waited till the final lap to change his tyres as it was mandatory to have two pit stops this year. The race was boring without any chaos and live action between the drivers. It is good from the team's point of view, and race marshals would be very happy with the way the race has ended.
The opening lap was good for Lando Norris as he entered the first corner without giving any lead to Charles Leclerc, who was following behind. The Monegasque driver tried to overtake, but Norris maintained the defensive line well. Then, Gabriel Bortoleto crashed into the barriers, bringing the virtual safety car, and all the drivers maintained positions.
Tight Pitstops
Teams thought of making the pit stops tighter, but nothing seemed to change. Max Vertsappen was allowed to go any longer. The narrow Monaco track didn't give any chance as the leaderboard remained unchanged.
Max Vertsappen and Red Bull tried their level best to stay out for almost 40 laps with the Medium tyres. They were awaiting a safety car, but nothing happened as all the drivers were careful and cautious in their race. He had to pit, allowing Lando Norris to regain the race lead with Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri running behind. There was almost a 45-second gap with the car behind, so Vertsappen had to take this gamble and wait till the final lap to go for a late pit stop. With this victory, Lando Norris has reduced the gap in the championship against his teammate, Oscar Piastri.
