Former world champion Lewis Hamilton continues to raise questions over the lack of F1 races in the African continent while every other part of the world is having Formula 1 races. Hamilton has strongly appealed to include the African GP in the Formula 1 calendar. He said, “We can't add races in other places and continue to ignore Africa, having a GP there will highlight how amazing this place is and attract tourism and all sorts of things.”
He also highlighted that many people around the world don't even know about the beauty and vastness of the African continent. According to him If there is an African GP in the Formula 1 calendar then there will be economic and tourism growth.
African GP is possible in these countries
Hamilton wants Rwanda or South Africa to host the African GP and he already spoke with F1 CEO Stefano Domenicalli and various people in South Africa and Rwanda regarding hosting a race. Other than Africa every other continent has races in their calendar. Lewis Hamilton wants every continent to be part of the Formula 1 world and that is why he is pushing for the importance of an African Grand Prix which represents every nation in Africa.
