The qualifying clock stopped at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix as Red Bull driver Yuki Tsunoda was thrown over the fence upside down while he was on his warm-up lap. The Japanese driver is now out of the qualifying session, and the Red Bull garage has a huge amount of work to do overnight.
This will be a massive challenge for the team and the driver, as repairing the car overnight is a mountain to climb. The chassis seems to have been damaged, so they need to build a new chassis for tomorrow’s main race.

The whole Red Bull garage was in shock as his team principal, Christian Horner, emerged from his seat and looked back at his garage. Yuki is now out of the qualifying session, and the Milton Keynes team is left with only one driver.
Only Yuki Tsunoda knows what went wrong, as the car looked fine until he brushed the kerbs. The RB21 got rolled over the fence, and Yuki would have felt some G-force while crashing. Not only Red Bull; all the other teams and drivers were shocked to see the crash. This also reminds us that Formula 1 is always a dangerous sport.
The race marshals are investigating the accident, and they are working hard to get the fence ready, which was damaged by the car while colliding. The tyre barriers got damaged badly, and it will take some time.
Oscar Piastri and Yuki’s former teammate Liam Lawson were also shocked and asked their race engineers about Yuki’s condition after the crash. Tsunoda is now out of the session without putting any lap times.
The Imola circuit was always a driver's track, and here, drivers' skills are more important than the actual car. It demands more work from the drivers as compared with fast circuits like Silverstone and Spa. Let us hope Yuki’s crash is the first and last for the day.
