Watch: Throwback to Carlos Sainz Pulling off a nail-biting win at Singapore GP 2023

We are just a few days away from Singapore GP as the title battle between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris is getting more interesting. Let's now take a look at last year's Singapore GP where Carlos Sainz Outpaced both the Mercedes to win the Singapore GP 2023. Throughout the race, Carlos held off challenges from Russell, Norris and Hamilton and won the Singapore GP 2023.

The Start was very brilliant from the Ferraris as Sainz held his lead and Leclerc overtook Russell. George also lost his lead to his teammate Lewis Hamilton. In the later end, Mercedes garnered most from the virtual safety car and stopped their drivers and changed to fresh and new medium tyres. 

Mercedes Virtual Safety Car Gain

Both the Mercedes Gained momentum from the virtual Safety car pit stop. They got past Charles Leclerc in the late end but couldn't go past Carlos Sainz. Mclaren's Lando Norris and Mercedes George Russell both raced intensively but in the final lap, George ended in the barrier at turn 10 while trying to overtake Lando. His Mercedes Teammate Lewis Hamilton Moved to the second spot next to Lando Norris.

For the fourth Spot, Charles Leclerc held Max Verstappen to take the fourth spot and Max ended in fifth. Gasly was very impressive at sixth, McLaren's Oscar Piastri took seventh, and Sergio Perez in eighth. In his short F1 Career Liam Lawson of Alpha Tauri took his first points and came ninth. Kevin Magnussen of Haas is the final point scorer in that race.

The 11th Place was taken by Williams Alexx Albon, Alfa Romeos Zhou Guanyu, Haas Nico Hulkenberg, Sergeant, and Alonso at the 14th and 15th place. The last 5 spots were taken by George Russell, Valtteri Bottas, Esteban Ocon, and Yuki Tsunoda who did not finish the race. Russell Crashed overtaking Lando Norris, Valtteri Bottas, and Yuki Tsnuoda sustained a punctured tyre in the opening lap of the race. Yuki’s Collision with Perez has caused the damage. Esteban did not finish the race.
