The Moto3 race at the San Marino Grand Prix witnessed a chaotic start with a dramatic multi-rider crash on the first lap, leading to a temporary halt. At Turn 1, three riders—Jose Antonio Rueda, David Munoz, and Riccardo Rossi—collided while attempting to gain an early lead.

The incident saw all three riders crash out, leaving them unable to continue the race. This early crash added an unexpected twist to the highly anticipated event. However, as the race resumed, it was rookie Ángel Piqueras who stole the show.

Starting from 17th on the grid, Piqueras made a remarkable comeback, working his way up through the field with precision and determination. By the end of the race, he managed to take his maiden victory, an incredible achievement that left fans and commentators in awe. His race-winning time was 34'02.766, with only 0.035 seconds separating him from the second-place finisher, Daniel Holgado.

Ivan Ortola completes the podium

The podium was completed by Ivan Ortola, who finished just 0.226 seconds behind Piqueras. The race remained highly competitive, with several riders within milliseconds of each other throughout the top ten. Tatsuki Furusato came in fourth, while Collin Veijer secured fifth place, both finishing within half a second of the leader.
