In a thrilling display of speed and skill, Marc Marquez dominated the MotoGP World Championship practice at MotorLand Aragon, Spain. The Spanish rider, known for his fearless racing style, proved to be the man to beat, as he not only led the morning practice but also shattered the previous lap record in the afternoon session.

Marquez, riding the Michelin-equipped Gresini Ducati, clocked an impressive lap time of 1:45.801 on the newly repaved 3.1-mile course. This remarkable performance not only put him at the top of the leaderboard among the 22 riders but also eclipsed the All-Time Lap Record of 1:46.069 set by Francesco Bagnaia in 2022. Marquez’s ability to push the limits of his machine and the track is a testament to his unparalleled talent and determination.

Aleix Espargaro narrowly misses out!

The afternoon session saw Aprilia factory rider Aleix Espargaro make a dramatic comeback. After finishing near the bottom in the morning, Espargaro surged to second place in the afternoon with a time of 1:46.073, narrowly missing out on Marquez’s record-breaking lap. Espargaro’s teammate, Maverick Vinales, also delivered a strong performance, securing third place with a lap time of 1:46.117.

Jorge Martin, riding for Prima Pramac Racing Ducati, secured the fourth-fastest time of 1:46.406, while Marc Marquez’s younger brother and teammate, Alex Marquez, matched that time to finish fifth. The top 10 riders from the afternoon session, all of whom secured their spots in Qualifying Two, included Lenovo Ducati’s Francesco Bagnaia, Martin’s teammate Franco Morbidelli, Castrol LCR Honda’s Johann Zarco, and Trackhouse Racing’s Raul Fernandez and Miguel Oliveira.
