Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton's partnership from 2013 to 2024 is one of the epic partnerships in Formula 1. If not, it could be called the greatest and most successful one, with six world titles and eight constructors titles. Even Michael Schumacher and Ferrari's partnership can't be compared to Lewis/Mercedes. Every good story has to end, and it has come at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The British driver has been chosen not to continue with the Mercedes team after the 2024 season.

It has been rumoured that the driver needed more years of commitment with the team, but they are willing to give just one more year extension. So, he chose Ferrari, who were happy to give Hamilton his multi-year contract as he signed a historic deal with the Italian horse.

Fred Vasseur will be the happiest person to sign Hamilton as he made the strongest pair of drivers for the 2025 season and beyond. The Maranello brand also earned 7 billion dollars in one day as Lewis Hamilton’s signing shook the share market.

Fans still can't imagine Lewis Hamilton driving for any team other than Mercedes. Most of them expected Hamilton to retire in Mercedes. He is the only driver after Fangio and Michael Schumacher to race for Ferrari and Mercedes.

If Lewis Hamilton wins a Championship at Ferrari he will become the second driver after Juan Manuel Fangio to become champion in both Mercedes and Ferrari which Fangio achieved in the 1954-1955 and 1956 F1 seasons. Lewis Qualified P16 which is a disaster for any driver racing his last for a team. Mercedes gave him the best strategy along with some luck in VSC. Hamilton overtook others and came to P5 next to his teammate George Russell. The two British drivers gave some epic driving moments in the last lap. Hamilton was running in Fresh Medium tyres, faster than Russell's old hard ones. Lewis waited for his opportunity to open full throttle at the final DRS Zone and he successfully overtook George on the final lap and came Fourth.

His teammate George appreciated Hamilton's driving and bid farewell to his idol. Hamilton was very emotional after the race as he spent as much time as possible with his team and his race engineer, Peter Bonnington. Hamilton then went to the Ferrari team to meet his new teammates. Next year will likely be the more exciting season in Formula 1.
