Lando Norris Neck Training Photograph: (X)
Formula 1 drivers undergo vigorous training to stay fit to drive a Formula 1 car. The training sessions are intense, as some drivers can't bear the pain and break into tears. The high G-force and body weight play a big role.
Lando Norris has already begun working on neck-strengthening exercises. One video shows the McLaren driver holding his neck straight while additional weights are added to the belts. During neck training, drivers hold the weights only with their necks, which makes them stronger.
Norris held his neck straight as the weight steadily increased. His trainers encourage him to hold the neck for a bit longer. Eventually, Lando Norris collapsed against the wall, almost in tears due to the immense pain in his neck. This video highlighted the physical demands of being a Formula 1 driver and proves why they are so highly paid.

Drivers need to maintain their body weight because it can directly impact a car's performance and their lap times. Teams always instruct drivers to balance their weight to get precise racing data and analytics results. They will input the drivers' data into the system, which analyzes how they can improve their speed based on their body weight and even predicts their race times before they hit the track.
Everything depends on the driver's physical and mental capabilities. To ensure peak physical fitness, F1 drivers intensify their training routines just before the Formula 1 season and follow strict diet plans. One of the most crucial aspects of being a Formula 1 driver is developing a stronger and more flexible neck.
This helps them withstand the high amount of G-force when approaching a corner at high speeds. The high-speed braking followed by the G-force can break their necks if they don't train them enough. So if you watch closely, F1 drivers' necks will be larger than normal people's. As they perform neck exercises, their necks become stronger and broader.
