The youngest Formula 1 driver on the 2025 grid, Kimi Antonelli, has brought his whole bunch of classmates to the Imola Grand Prix. The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix is the first European race of this year and is happening in Italy. For the first time, Mercedes and Ferrari will race in their home grand prix.
Ferrari is the local team and is racing in their home circuit named after Enzo Ferrari. Mercedes will consider this race as a home GP because of the young 18-year-old Kimi Antonelli. The Italian driver is doing wonders for the German team, and he is racing in his first-ever home GP. Kimi was born in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, which is known as the 'Motor Valley'.

He won't be staying with his team in the team hotel; he will arrive at the race from his home, which is nearby. Antonelli’s school is also very near, so he brought his friends to watch the Imola GP. As Kimi races all year around the world, he has no time to spend with his friends back in Italy. He can't even go on vacations with them, and the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Italy is the best time to meet his friends and spend time with them.
Antonelli’s friends are also very young, and they don't know what it is to be a Formula 1 driver. They can now witness the events, paddock, meet drivers and talk to many famous people. Valtteri Bottas was also seen talking with one of Kimi’s friends, and everyone was very happy to watch the race closely.
The Mercedes team has special arrangements for Kimi’s friends and hopes they enjoy the race weekend. The Emilia Romagna GP is very important for Kimi Antonelli, as it is his home race, and winning the race will be a lifetime memory for him. Ferrari are also looking to turn the tide, and they are coming with big upgrades for this race. So if everything falls in place, we can have a perfect Italian weekend at Imola.
