Verstappen was raised to be a racing driver from early stages by his father, Jos Versatappen, a former F1 driver in the 90s and early 2000s. Jos Verstappen is now retired from Formula 1 and is now racing in Rally. WRC is one of the most difficult car races, as it has more risks than Formula 1.
While Max Verstappen was racing in Japan, his father Jos was racing in a rally car. After he finished his racing, he was asked for an interview, and during that time, he was told about his son’s amazing victory in the Japanese Grand Prix. He was first asked whether he would like to know the F1 results, and Verstappen says, “Yes, please!”
Jos Verstappen was very happy to know that his son had won the race and said, “That’s very good and that’s very important. We were watching that just before the stage. I couldn't do that in the last 14 laps, but it's fine, and it's good.” He added, “This one was good (talking about his race), more grippy in the beginning and more slippery in the end.”
The reporter asked him to see Max Verstappen’s onboard lap to get some idea, and Jos nodded. Jos Verstappen was the biggest reason behind Max Verstappen’s success in Formula 1. He was the only one person who guided Max into the world of F1 and made him a world champion and a great driver, which he is today.
