WATCH: Indian actor Ajith Kumar’s scary crash in Belgium’s Spa circuit

Actor Ajith Kumar, called Thala and AK by his fans, is now racing at the Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. He is racing at the 12h challenge for his racing team, Ajith Kumar Racing. Before the race, Ajith Kumar was doing his practice session in the rain. 

The Spa circuit in Belgium is one of the world’s most dangerous race tracks. There have been many accidents on the track that have cost lives. In the rain, it is even more dangerous to drive, and Ajith Kumar is racing here after more than a decade. Eau Rouge is the track's most thrilling and dangerous part, and it is the hotspot. Many accidents have been recorded in the same spot before in endurance and Formula 1 races. Ajith took his Porsche car and approached the Eau Rouge.

It is also the second corner of the track, which has a sharp uphill turn followed by the Kemmel straight. AK was coming towards turn 2 and lost his car as he went through the kerbs. He went sideways and crashed hugely into the barriers. The Porsche car absorbed all the impact and saved the actor from injury. Racing cars have well-equipped safety features that save drivers from these kinds of massive accidents. Ajith Kumar was luckily unscathed and came out without any injury.

The safety car arrived and took the actor to the medical centre for concussion tests. Ajith didn’t have any health concerns and was given clearance after medical examinations, and he returned to his garage. The actor was previously involved in a number of crashes. 

In his first-ever race in the 24h Dubai, Ajith Kumar crashed during the practice session. In Portugal, he collided with another driver and was out of the race. This is his third big crash of the season, but Ajith Kumar is improving day by day. Accidents are not unusual in racing, and his team is well aware of that.
