The Singapore GP in 2019 was very dramatic and spectacular as we saw four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel winning for the final time in his Formula 1 career. Vettel was often regarded as the ‘King of Singapore’ for his extraordinary performance in the circuit every time.
The 2019 Formula 1 Season was also the same for him as he undercut his teammate brilliantly after a pit stop. The qualifying session saw Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc being the fastest and claiming the pole position followed by Mercedes Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel.
Charles Leclerc fumes at Ferrari
The race started with Charles Leclerc getting a good start and Lewis Hamilton going under huge pressure from P3 starter Vettel. Ferrari extended Charles Leclerc's outing by pitting Vettel first ahead of him. During Charles Leclerc's Pit Stop Vettel drove extraordinarily and with his lap time he undercut Charles Leclerc which made him angry and he called it unfair by the Ferrari team.

Charles Pitstop's time was faster than Sebastian Vettel’s and even though Vettel passed Leclerc with his brilliant driving skills, Charles lost his position to Vettel which became Ferrari 1-2. On the radio, Charles Leclerc was very angry at the mechanics calling it unfair.

After a race incident safety car was deployed and Charles was trailing behind Vettel he asked the race mechanics for engine mode to extract the maximum power from the engine. The mechanics advised him to bring the car in one piece as the Singapore circuit is very hard even a small mistake could lead to disaster.
But Leclerc on the radio replied “I won't do anything stupid for Ferrari. It's not my goal. I just want to finish Ferrari 1-2. I just think it's not fair. Yeah, but this won't change. I won't be stupid for Ferrari.” The race was the last time Vettel won a Grand Prix in his Formula 1 career.
It was also the last season Sebastian Vettel raced at Ferrari and the next year he moved to Aston Martin and after he retired. He made the race very memorable and showed the entire world why he was the four-time world champion.
