The Australian Driver and Max Verstappen’s Former Red Bull teammate Daniel Ricciardo may have raced his final race in Singapore. But despite speculations surrounding him of getting replaced by Liam Lawson after the Singapore race, the Australian put in an astonishing effort to help Max Verstappen win this year's championship.

Daniel Stole the Show from Mclaren

McLaren’s Lando Norris was heading the DHL fastest lap for most part of the race. But in later stages, Red Bull’s Junior team called Daniel Ricciardo for a pit stop and changed his tire to a soft compound which is the fastest tire in Formula 1. 

The Aussie then Stormed the Marina Bay circuit winning the DHL fastest lap of the race and a crucial one point that could have gone into the hands of McLaren’s Lando Norris along with his Pole points.

Max Verstappen, the championship leader, thanked his old pal for getting those crucial single points from McLaren. He said “Thank you Daniel” on the team radio after hearing the news from his boss.

After the race, the Aussie was battling with full emotions running over his mind as he took some time to get out of his car as it could be his last time in F1 Cockpit. He also spoke to the press with a lot of emotions. 

He said he wanted to ‘savour the moment’ as it could be his last time ever. When asked about whether he is feeling emotional Ricciardo replied. “A lot of emotions, because - look im aware it could be it, and I think it's also just being exhausted after the race. So it's like a flood of many emotions and feelings and Exhaustion. The cockpit is something that I got very used to for so many years. I just wanted to savour the moment.”

Daniel Ricciardo’s prime time was when he was racing as a Red Bull driver alongside Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen. During his debut season Daniel Easily overcame his teammate and defending champion Sebastian Vettel in his Red Bull car. Now he will be most likely replaced by New Zealander Liam Lawson from the US GP.
