WATCH: Carlos Sainz in shock after seeing James Vowles speaking in Spanish

Carlos Sainz will never forget his first day at Williams Racing. He was greeted by James Vowles, the team Principal, who welcomed him by speaking in Spanish.

Carlos Sainz will always remember his first day at Williams Racing. James Vowles, the team Principal welcomed him at his new home. After leaving Ferrari at the end of the season in 2024. He announced that he would be joining Williams Racing. Carlos Sainz received a warm welcome at Williams headquarters in Grove as the new season awaits him.

After being with Ferrari for four years it looked like he would take time to adjust to new country, new team and new conditions. But James Vowles had different plan has he gave him a sweet surprise by speaking in Spanish which made him to get home feeling. As Carlos Sainz went toward stage his team members applauded him.

James Vowles welcomed Carlos Sainz by saying, "We are going to speak in Spanish, we can discuss a few things in Spanish too,"James Vowles said. He tried his skills with the Spanish language as Carlos Sainz hails from Spain. Hearing what James Vowles spoke, Carlos Sainz was shocked. This was not the first time for Vowles. In 2024, he was seen greeting his fans in Argentina in Spanish.

In the middle of 2024, Vowles made the difficult choice to name Franco Colapinto as Logan Sargeant's replacement. This implied that Vowles had previously done business with another driver whose mother tongue was Spanish. Since Vowles stated in the YouTube video that it had been a few years since he had spoken Spanish, having another Spanish-speaking driver join Williams will encourage him even more.

Carlos Sainz and Williams' best chance to succeed 

The new rules will take effect in 2026, which will be Sainz and Williams' best chance to succeed. In order to do so, Team Principal James Vowles stated last year that he is prepared to forgo the 2025 campaign to increase the likelihood of triumph the following year. Additionally, Williams has two excellent drivers in Sainz and Alex Albon who can assist them get the most out of their package. 

They have an experienced power unit provider thanks to their ongoing cooperation with Mercedes, who have demonstrated the ability to deliver dominant engines despite regulatory changes, as demonstrated in 2014. When the regulation amendments go into force in 2025, Sainz may finally settle in at the British team, paving way for major advancements.
