Williams Racing driver Carlos Sainz qualified P6 for the 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. The Spanish racing driver put in an outstanding effort to set the fastest lap times ahead of Ferrari’s Leclerc and Hamilton. The Monegasque driver was the former teammate of Carlos Sainz, and now the spanish driver has outpaced his former team and its driver. The Miami Autodrome is a high-speed street track with many turns, where overtaking is difficult.
Even if Charles Leclerc decides to overtake his old mate, he has to get past Alex Albon, who is also a Williams Racing driver and current teammate of Sainz. This is the perfect time for Sainz to take revenge on Ferrari, which chose Lewis Hamilton over him.
The seven-time world champion moved to Ferrari for the 2025 F1 season, and Sainz was shown the exit doors at the Maranello team. Leclerc, being part of the Ferrari project for a long time, retained his place. Now Sainz has got the opportunity to beat the two Ferrari drivers in a Williams car.

Watch Carlos Sainz's plans for Lewis and Charles
Ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz met the press and commented regarding the two Ferrari drivers. The Spanish racing driver said he has plans for both Leclerc and Hamilton. Carlos Sainz said, “I think Lewis is starting quite far back (P12). Charles in race trim, we saw in Jeddah, is almost the fastest car sometimes, of the race, no? So, my honest opinion, Charles will pass us at some point. Everyone else, it's fightable.”
Charles and Carlos are best mates, and they share a great bond of friendship outside the Formula 1 car. But when it comes to racing, both are very aggressive and sometimes their battle have become too intense. Even the Ferrari team had struggled to keep them fighting each other. It will be very exciting to see the two drivers battle each other on a street track.
