VR 46 team rider will miss the final two races of the MotoGP Season as he needs surgery on his shoulder after a crash in Austria which caused dislocation in mid-August. Fabio will race the Australian and next week's Thailand Grand Prix and then he will withdraw from the season for surgery.

The team director announced, “This decision doesn't come by chance, he could have continued to race unit Valencia, but postponing Surgery will not give him enough time for recovery and rehabilitation before the next season.”

Talking about the exit from this year's MotoGP season “The 2025 calendar is very demanding, the winter break is so short and we cannot risk not arriving at the peak of the physical condition at the start of 2025.” Fabio Di Ginannantonio is looking to be completely fit before the opening test of 2025 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia from February 5 to 7. He took this tough decision considering his future in the sport

Next Year VR 46 will have a Factory-spec Ducati bike which Giannantonio and his teammate Marco Bezzecchi will be riding. They are currently standing ninth in the MotoGP riders championship. This year hasn't been great for the Ducati-powered team.

Is it the return of the VR46?

The VR 46 team needs a new rider for the remaining races to complete the season. There are many reserve riders like Ducati test rider Michele Pirro. But fans are expecting the most celebrated MotoGP rider of all time Valentino Rossi who is also the owner of the VR46 team to come back and finish the season for his team. The 7-time world champion Rossi is busy in car racing and he is not highly expected for the remaining races. But if he plans to return for his team then the whole MotoGP fans will be very excited to see the Legend racing again.
