Fabio Di Giannantonio is set to continue his MotoGP journey with the VR46 Racing Team, solidifying his future in the sport by signing a contract for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The Italian rider, who made headlines last year by securing his MotoGP future with a victory at the Qatar Grand Prix, will now race as a factory-contracted rider for Ducati.

Di Giannantonio's transition into the VR46 Racing Team, owned by the legendary Valentino Rossi, marks a critical shift in the MotoGP landscape. From 2025, the VR46 team will officially become Ducati's satellite team, taking over from Pramac. This partnership underscores Ducati's commitment to nurturing talent within their ranks, with Di Giannantonio now being one of only three riders to have the privilege of racing a factory-spec Desmosedici.

Reflecting on his journey, Di Giannantonio expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity. "Nine months ago, I found myself without a bike to continue my dream, and today I signed a contract with two of the most important entities in MotoGP; it's hard to believe," he remarked.

Ducati expresses confidence in Di Giannantonio

The contract, which directly ties him to Ducati rather than VR46, signifies the manufacturer's confidence in Di Giannantonio's abilities. Luigi Dall’Igna, Ducati Corse's General Manager, emphasized this sentiment, stating, "We are happy to have Fabio Di Giannantonio among our Ducati riders for the next two years. Diggia has always shown great confidence in our project, and his dedication and talent have led him to grow steadily in MotoGP."

For Di Giannantonio, this new chapter is not just about continuation but about ambition. With factory support from Ducati, he aims to achieve new heights in the sport. "I will be on the track for two years with the official Ducati — we can and must aim to achieve ambitious results. It's a huge project, where I feel 100% involved, and we can aim for the top step of the podium," he declared.
