The 2025 year has finally arrived, and we are still two months away from our first race. But even before the season's first race, two Formula 1 drivers were at risk, and they were already warned that if they didn't bring enough points to the team, they would be fired.

They are Alpine’s Jack Doohan and Pierre Gasly. The Enstone-based team recently announced that Jack Doohan will be their replacement driver for Esteban Ocon, who is leaving for the Haas F1 team. But Former Williams Driver Franco Colapinto despite not getting any seat this year is still having some hopes with Alpine.

Colapinto replaced Logan Sargeant at Williams for the final nine races in the F1 2024 season. He performed very well in many of the races. Teams like Red Bull and Alpine are very much interested in signing colapinto. But his few massive crashes made the Austrian Team back off from the deal.

Boss gives new warning

Alpine still has some eyes on the Argentinean. Its team principal Flavio Briatore said he doesn't hesitate to change the pair if they doesnt perform well next year. Flavio said “The only thing we can be sure of is death! We’ll start the year with Pierre and Jack, I can guarantee that. After that, we’ll see as the season progresses.

I have to get the team in the right condition to get results and the driver is the one who has to conclude the work of nearly 1000 people behind him. Everyone works for just two people. If there’s a driver who isn't making progress, who isn't bringing me results, I change him. You can't be emotional in F1.”

The rookie driver Jack Doohan is at more risk. He raced at the final race in Abu Dhabi and came 15th. There were many speculations that the Alpine contract for Doohan is just for the first 6 races of the 2025 season and after that based on his performance the decision will be made.

Gasly stole the show with his impressive performance in the final few races of the season with a podium finish in Brazil and outstanding qualifying at the Las Vegas GP. He was also 10th in the driver's championship with 42 points and was the prime contributor to Alpine's 6th-place finish in the constructor's title.
