Red Bull is considering shaking things up to stay in the competition next year since losing the Constructors championship to McLaren and Ferrari. The Austrian team could not make it a three in a row in the constructor's title despite Max Verstappen winning his fourth driver's world title. They are pushed to the third spot by Ferrari and McLaren who will battle for the title in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Constructors' Championship is as important as the Driver's Championship because the money they will get as a prize is very huge and could help the team to develop further. They are on the back foot for two reasons, The first is their competitor's upgrades are more performing than Red Bull’s and the second one is Sergio Perez’s lack of form this year.
The Mexican driver was second in the championship last year, but now he is pushed to eighth behind Lewis Hamilton and there is no chance of him moving ahead. Sources say the Red Bull team has already decided on Perez’s future in the team and he will mostly be replaced. The Mexican drivers will either take up media duties or should wait till 2026 to have a chance in any other teams.
Red Bull's Potential Drivers for 2025
Red Bull has several options to choose from like Junior RB drivers Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson, Formula 2 driver Isack Hadjar and current Williams driver Franco Colapinto. Let us take a look at each driver and their recent performances and also check if there is any chance of Red Bull considering them as the next driver.
Liam Lawson
The forerunner for the Red Bull seat next year is the New Zealander Liam Lawson. The reason for that will be his aggression and hunger for winning. This is the most important attitude Red Bull leadership will look for inside a driver. That is how Max Verstappen was chosen from Torro Rosso's team and promoted to Red Bull instead of Carlos Sainz.
Liam Lawson also has some patience, which is the most important quality for a Formula 1 driver. Liam Lawson stood as a reserve driver for one year when Red Bull brought back Daniel Ricciardo. Red Bull needs a challenging driver next year who is aggressive, just like Max Verstappen and Lawson will tick all the boxes. He also challenged Perez in his home country with an underpowered RB car.
Yuki Tsunoda
If any driver truly deserves a seat in the Red Bull team then it should be Yuki Tsunoda who has been with them since the 2021 season. Since his debut, the Japanese driver has been quite impressive with his results and also dominating his teammates. He dominated Daniel Ricciardo and now he is dominating his teammate Liam Lawson, considering the races since Lawson’s debut. He is a mature driver compared with Liam Lawson and also has the support of Honda.

But the Japanese manufacturer's partnership with Red Bull is ending in 2025 and they will move on with Ford after the 2026 season. That could be the biggest disadvantage for the Japanese driver to get a Red Bull seat. But if Red Bull considers talent and results Yuki Tsunoda is the guy. But at last Formula 1 is all about business.
Isack Hadjar
Red Bull's own academy driver Isack Hadjar is fighting for the Formula 2 world championship against Future Sauber driver Gabriel Bortoleto in Abudhabi GP this weekend. He is just 0.5 points behind the Brazilian and whoever finishes ahead will be crowned the champion in the desert city. He is also one of the considerations for the Red Bull seat. The history of Red Bull shows them testing their academy drivers in junior teams. So we think the French man will mostly drive the RB Bulls car next year.

Franco Colapinto
Talks of Franco Colapinto for Red Bull have emerged but the South American driver's recent back-to-back crashes in Brazil, Las Vegas and Qatar have caused the Red Bull team to take a U-turn and move away from him for quite some time. Williams Racing team have already signed a deal with Carlos Sainz for next year's lineup alongside Alex Albon.
Franco will be the biggest loser next year if he doesn't find a seat in any other team. Williams has also made it worse by quoting a huge amount from Red Bull to release Franco from their team. Some few moments don't make a driver bad, so let’s hope the talented man from the South American nation can make it to any team next year.
