The Spanish Grand Prix 2024 witnessed some amazing displays of driving heroics and strategic masterclasses at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya. Pole sitter Lando Norris finished second behind Verstappen despite making some amazing moves to surpass Mercedes dup of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. Meanwhile, seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton clinched his first podium of the season as he finished third ahead of his teammate George Russell.
On the other hand, the Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz finished fifth and sixth consecutively. They failed to get past the Mercedes duo and seemed struggling just like the Canadian Grand Prix. McLaren’s Oscar Piastri finished seventh while Pierre Gasly, Sergio Perez and Alex Albon completed the top 10.

Lando Norris displayed some amazing moves
The battle between Norris and Russell was a thrilling display of elite racing. Norris made his first move past Russell at turn four, but Russell swiftly reclaimed the position at turn five. Undeterred, Norris's relentless pursuit allowed him to overtake Russell again at turn eight with a breathtaking manoeuvre, securing second place.

Norris's spectacular charge through the field brought him within 9.2 seconds of race leader Max Verstappen. This remarkable overtaking spree showcased his exceptional driving skills and highlighted McLaren's competitive edge.
