In a surprising move, Max Verstappen showcased his strategic brilliance by outsmarting George Russell to reclaim the lead at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Initially losing the top spot to a blistering move by Russell on the first lap, Verstappen executed a masterful comeback that left fans in awe.

Verstappen, known for his relentless pursuit and tactical acumen, was not one to be outdone. By utilizing the Drag Reduction System (DRS) on the long straight leading into the first corner, Verstappen executed a perfect slipstream manoeuvre in lap 9.
