In the qualifying round of the ongoing MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix, Marc Marquez continues to dominate as he clinched the pole position. In the wet conditions at his home track, Marquez led Gresini Ducati to a comfortable pole position.

Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin will stand alongside the eight-time world champion on the front row making it all Ducati front row. Even though it was raining a lot, the weather got better slowly. Marquez was the fastest in the last practice, and he continued to lead at the beginning of the race.

But Brad Binder from KTM used a medium type of tyre to go to the top. This made other racers change their approach for a final attempt. Pedro Acosta, a newcomer who has been doing well, was close to getting the best starting position but slipped and fell at the last corner just 3 minutes before the end, ending up in tenth place.

Aprilia had a struggling qualification round!

Aprilia had a tough time in the rain at COTA. Maverick Vinales and his teammate Aleix Espargaro finished in 11th and 12th place. Meanwhile, Franco Morbidelli and Binder did well in the first qualifying session as they qualified for the next round.

Notably, Jack Miller had a technical issue with his chain, so he couldn't start his session on time. This meant he didn't have enough time to change his tyres and would start 15th on the grid. Meanwhile, Johann Zarco did a good job with his Honda, finishing third in Q1 and 13th overall. However, other Honda bikes didn't perform as well.
