Yamaha Factory rider Fabio Quartararo’s dream of winning the home grand prix at Le Mans was shattered as he crashed in the rain. The MotoGP world champion did an outstanding qualifying lap at the Grand prix of France.

In the main race, he started in pole position, but as per the regulations, had to serve an outlap as he changed his tyres before the race. After serving the penalty, Quartararao rejoined and found himself behind Marc Marquez, who was the race leader.

The passionate French fans waited for their hero to win the Le Mans Grand prix, but everything shattered as the wet conditions of the track threw Fabio out of the race. The conditions worsened, but it was a happy ending for the home fans as another French rider, Johann Zarco, won the race after 72 years of waiting.

But now Quartararao is facing heat from the organisers as he was caught by the fans shouting and disobeying the race marshals. As per the rules, if the conditions of the track or bike are too bad, the race marshals have the right to not allow the rider to rejoin the race.

They didn’t allow Fabio to continue racing, and the French rider was angered by that and shouted at one of those marshals. It was all caught on a fan camera, and Motogp has to take some action against the rider.

Because of his disobedience against the marshals, Quartararao will now serve a 10-minute time penalty in the FP1 session of the British Grand prix in Silverstone. The Yamaha rider will also pay 2,000 euros as a fine for showing frustration at the marshals.

Fabio Quartararo is one of the most consistent riders on the grid, and each race, he is making a difference for his team. Had he won the Grand Prix of France, it would have been a wonderful night, but he is very happy for his fellow countryman Zarco, who won his first-ever race in MotoGP.
