The 2025 MotoGP French GP is underway with only the main race remaining for the weekend. The Qualifying session at the Le Mans track was among the greatest in Motogp history. Four riders crossed the 1.29 minutes mark, with home hero Fabio Quartararo clinching the pole position from Marc Marquez. But the Sprint race didn't go as planned for the Yamaha rider as the Ducatis were too quick to beat, and Marc won his 6th Sprint race.

But the Sprint race has fewer laps, and bikes carry less fuel and run on low kerb weight. The main race will be different, and Yamaha can turn the tide with a perfect setup for Quartararo to triumph.  Here are our predictions before the highly anticipated battle between Fabio Quartararo and Marc Marquez.

Here are our 2025 Motogp Grand Prix of France Race predictions

1. Multiple crashes

The Le Mans track is one of the oldest and most dangerous tracks in the world. Every year, the 24h Le Mans race happens, and drivers from all around the world are challenged to the maximum. The track layout has a lot of uphills, corners, and twisty turns that require riders to give 200% concentration during races. But during a high-octane battle, the riders may lose a little concentration and can either crash or go wide, just like Bagnaia, Acosta did yesterday. So we are expecting multiple crashes in the main race, and we see only 15 riders finish the race today.

2. Heartbreak for home fans

MotoGP French GP predictions- Heartbreak

The passionate French fans are all lining up to see Quartararo win the race. The Yamaha rider is one of the most skilful riders out there on the 2025 grid. Yamaha has less power and straight-line speed compared with Ducati’s. But Fabio made all the difference in the qualifying session and clinched the pole.

To hold his position, he needs a more powerful setup from his team, and even if they provide him with all the necessary setups, Fabio needs to find a way to stop Marc Marquez from attacking. The main race will be much longer than a sprint, and we feel that even if Fabio gets a good start, the point of making it to the pole against the mighty Ducatis is difficult. So, we are expecting a heartbreak for the home fans.

3. Maverick Vinales on the Podium

MotoGP French GP predictions- Vinales

The KTM rider missed the opportunity during the Sprint race with a bad start. But the Spanish rider is expected to finish on the podium today as he is the best KTM rider out there. In the last few races, he has shown great pace and control over his bike, and the Le Mans circuit is the best track to show who he really is.

4. VR46 will Struggle

MotoGP French GP predictions- VR46

One of the independent teams that uses the latest GP25 bikes is the VR46 Racing team. The Valentino Rossi-owned team are struggling to find the perfect grip on their bikes. The 2025 season was a great start for them, but after a few races, they lost the pace and are now back. The Gresini Racing team is showing great improvement and is the second fastest team on the grid. Morbidelli and Giannantonio are struggling with the grip, and we expect them to have a tough day in the office at Le Mans.

5. Marc Marquez's winning streak

MotoGP French GP predictions- Marc

The legendary Marc Marquez is in supreme form, and we are seeing him as the winner of the Motogp 2025 Grand prix of France. Only his brother, Alex Marquez, has a chance to stop him, but the Gresini racing rider is starting behind Marc. The only chance of Marquez losing is making mistakes, and if not, he will win the French GP this year and extend his championship-winning streak.
