The Mercedes AMG will be joining the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year as a power unit supplier for an Italian team. They will partner with the Iron Lynx team in the 2025 FIA Endurance Championship campaign. The Italian outfit will use two Mercedes AMG GT3 cars in the LMGT3 class. They are also offering their customer service program to the Italian team in the most prestigious series in the world. Mercedes will compete against top Manufacturers like Aston Martin, BMW, Chevrolet Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lexus, McLaren and Porsche.
Mercedes is back in the Endurance test
To compete in the FIA WEC LMGT3 the German brand must fulfill certain criteria set by the race organizers. They should use drive shafts with torque sensors. Also, the wind tunnels they use for testing should compile with the performance window according to the rule book.

Mercedes seems to be ready for all these processes as they are well prepared for the Endurance championship. They will launch their car during the start of the 2025 FIA WEC season in Qatar at 1812 KM. The big highlight of the endurance championship is the 93rd 24 hours of Le Mans which will happen between 11-15 June 2025.
The Mercedes AMG team and Iron Lynx will be looking to put up strong performance from the next season as the German brand wants to leave a mark in every Motorsport possible. They are already a big name in Formula 1 and they have 7 world titles under their name. However, endurance racing is very different from Formula 1 racing as the car should run fast and long for 24 hrs to win the race. Mercedes also supplies power units for McLaren, Willims, and Aston Martin in Formula 1 races.
