Max Verstappen slammed his Red Bull team for handling Daniel Ricciardo's issue harshly after everything the Australian has done for the Austrian team in the past. The Singapore Grand Prix was the last race in Daniel Ricciardo’s Formula 1 career. Since then, Liam Dawson has been driving for Red Bull. The Australian was let go by Red Bull’s Junior team VCARB after many disappointing performances.

Verstappen Punches Red Bull

Before the United States Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo’s Former Teammate Max Verstappen spoke about his old pal’s exit from the Formula 1 season. He was asked for his thoughts regarding Red Bull’s Sacking of Ricciardo. He said “I think it was quite clear for me, for Daniel, that it was the last race. From my side, I think it could have been handled differently. Also for him, because he knew it, but he can't say it exactly- it's a bit of shame.”

Verstappen added that “he’s done a lot for everyone. He won races. He has had incredible races. I think it deserved a nicer exit.” Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo’s Friendship started during Max Verstappen's younger days in the Toro Rosso team.

When Max was promoted to the senior Red Bull team Daniel was his teammate and they shared a good relationship. But after Verstappens’s Red Bull journey started Ricciardo felt he was not the priority in the team anymore. After 2018 the Australian left Red Bull and joined Renault and then McLaren.

He again came back to the Austrian Squad in 2023 where he had an accident and was replaced by reserve driver Liam Lawson for the rest. The new Zealander impressed everyone with his driving. Now he replaced Daniel Ricciardo in the VCARB team as the main driver.

At the singapore Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo set the fastest lap of the race and earned a valuable one point which could have gone to Max Verstappen’s rival and championship contender Lando Norris. Daniel’s One point could change anything in the future.
