Reigning world champion Max Verstappen continues his dominance at the paddock with a blistering victory in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola. Verstappen held his pole position since the first lap while Lando Norris tried to give some challenges. It was a very close race for Norris who lost by just 0.7 seconds.
Apart from him, Charles Leclerc finishes third giving Ferrari a podium finish after Miami's hiatus. Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz clinched fourth and fifth spot. Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell clinched sixth and seventh position respectively which is the best they could have got.
Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll and Yuki Tsunoda completed the top 10 for the weekend. Tsunoda should be a happy man as he fought well throughout the weekend. On various occasions, he outplayed the Mercedes duo announcing his skills and experience on the grid.
"Have to work hard", says Verstappen
After winning his fifth race of the season Red Bull driver screamed in joy. While speaking with his race engineer Verstappen accepted the poor start of the week saying he will need to work hard on it. He said, “F*** mate! I had to work for that.
